The benefits of Software as a Service ("SaaS") are well documented – no IT infrastructure for the customer to maintain, anytime/anyplace access for all stakeholders, rapid releases, and system support and maintenance performed by those who know it most intimately – but SaaS also provides another core benefit which Benaissance is leveraging to reinvent benefits administration.

Since the SaaS system is centrally located and universally accessible (through secure access), back office or business processing outsourcing ("BPO") services can also be provided for customers as though the service provider were collocated within the customer's enterprise. Benaissance uses this model to provide tighly integrated critical payment processing and mail fulfillment services to our customers at a scale, efficiency, and price point our customers could not match on their own. We believe firmly that this model not only applies ideally to the administration of all employee benefits, but also serves as a model for meeting the needs of the wider health insurance industry – integrating payors, providers, employers, and members with each other and with key service providers in a central real-time, always accessible ecosystem.
